Top 5: Fake Burger Joints

Everybody loves a delicious hamburger, even movie and tv characters.   While most people would go to McDonald’s or Burger King (“It’s a wonderful restaurant!”) there are some fictious local places that have their own unique charm, and sometimes gross health code violations.

5.  Burger World (Beavis and Butt-Head)

Burger World is the part time employer of the dim-witted, music video loving duo of Beavis and Butthead.  Similar to a McDonald’s, the place seems to be your run of the mill burger joint serving burgers, fries and drinks.  There never seems to be any real customer flow however, probably because, among many other things, Beavis once infected the grill with crabs, they served dead rat burgers to their neighbor Mr. Anderson and generally completely destroy all health code rules.  Thankfully there only seems to be one Burger World in existence.

4.  Big Kahuna Burger (Pulp Fiction)

Big Kahuna Burger is a burger joint specializing in Hawaiian burgers.  Not much is known about what the place looks like, what sort of employees work there or how many locations there are but what we do know is that they make tasty burgers.  If Samuel L. Jackson says it then it must be true.

3.  Mooby’s (Clerks II, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back)

Mooby’s seems to be a chain of some sort, there at least two known locations.  Featuring a cartoon cow for a a mascot the menu is full of dairy related puns like Udderly Delicious Moo-Ilkshakes and Skinny Calfs, the employees sometimes wear hats with horns on them and there are cow beanie babies for sale.  Most Mooby’s also feature internet access as well.  Service is usually good unless you have different pop culture tastes then the Clerks.  Then be prepared for a nerd battle the likes of which you cannot prepare for.  Mooby’s also seems to be a hangout for a certain pair of weed dealers.  A plus is that sometimes the place will break out into spontaneous dancing.

2. Krusty Burger (The Simpsons)

Krusty Burger is the brainchild/tax shelter of Krusty the Clown.  Featuring hundreds of locations across the country, including one on an offshore oil rig, Krusty Burger features a wide array of foods.  The staple of the menu is the Krusty Burger, which was the official meat flavored sandwich of the 1984 Olympic Games.  Napkins and a bun for the Krusty Burger cost extra.  Krusty Burger also featured the Ribwich for a short time but it was pulled when it was discoverd that it was made from a milipede like insect.  A recent addition has been “The Clogger” which features an unknown amount of cheese, bacon and assorted meat flavors.  They also feature Krusty Partially Gelatinated, Non-Dairy Gum Based Beverage, which is equal to a milkshake.  The typical employee’s are pimple faced, high voiced teenagers.  Krusty has a stranglehold on the town of Springfield and pays local mafia boss Fat Tony to keep the other franchises like McDonald’s out of town.

Good Burger is a West Covina, California burger joint which features a number of “good” menu items.  Good Burgers, Good Fries, Good Shakes and more.  They also feature Ed’s Sauce, an orange topping that everyone agrees is delicous.  The place features a number of colorful employees including an ox of a cook, an almost dead Abe Vigoda and Ed, who seems to be insanly loyal to the place and never takes of his uniform.  Good Burger also delivers and has a AMC Pacer decorated as a giant hamburger.  They once delivered to Shaquille O’Neal.  Good Burger almost shut down when a rival burger place opened across the street called Mondo Burger.  Fortunately, it was discovered that Mondo Burger was using illegal growth hormones to make their burger patties larger. The owner Kurt was arrested and Mondo Burger was shut down.
