R.I.P. Michael Crichton

Man, what is going on this year?  People are dropping like flies, Paul Newman, Issac Hayes, Bernie Mac, Don Lafontaine and now one of my favorite authors, Michael Crichton.  You probably know him best for Jurassic Park but some of his other works include: The Lost World, Timeline, The Terminal Man, The Great Train Robbery, The Andromeda Strain, Prey, Airframe, Congo, The 13th Warrior, Sphere, Rising Sun and State of Fear.  He also had a medical doctorate from Harvard and helped create the show E.R..  He also wrote a number of screenplays including Westworld and Twister.  He was also an outspoken critic against the theory of global warming, in fact, State of Fear is basically an attack against global warming where eco-terrorists try to force climate change to prove that it exists.  Crichton has given us a lot of great fiction and some great movies have been based off of his works, we’ll miss ya.
