Conan the Barbarian is going to be off on epic adventures again pretty soon as the star and director have been cemented for the upcoming remake.  Starring as Conan is Roland Kickinger, an Austrian body builder (sounds familiar).  Kickinger has had a number of small roles, most recently as the T-800 in Terminator Salvation (with Arnold’s face CGI’d on him).  Kickinger even played Arnold in the biopic “See Arnold Run”.  Directing the new Conan is going to be Marcus Nispel, who directed the recent Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th remakes as well as the ok, pretty Conanish, movie Pathfinder with Karl Urban.  Producers at Lionsgate have said they wanted to be more faithful to Robert Howard’s original stories, hopefully meaning more blood and ass kicking from Conan.
