Battle at the Box Office 10/18

America apparently really missed the Jackass gang because their third theatrical outing was a fall record setter over the weekend.  The movie had the biggest ever opening for the Sept-Oct. period with $50 million.  3D probably helped a bit with making more money but it still pretty much doubled either of the previous Jackass movies opening weekends.  The other new release, Red, had a pretty solid opening weekend as well with $22.5 million.  The Social Network stayed on top of the previous week’s releases, making just over $11 million and taking third.  Secretariat and Life As We Know It rounded out the top 5.  Will Paranormal Activity 2 be able to replicate it’s predecessor’s success or will the Jackass guys hang around the top spot for a second week?
