Everything Actioncast Ep. 37 “5th Annual Kick Ass Awards”

It’s the end of another year and that means the first of two big Everything Actioncasts starting with this week’s presentation of the 5th Annual Kick Ass Awards.  Zach, Joe and Chris let you know what Everything Action picked as their movie of the year, who the best Ass Kicker of the Year was and which movie was the most Over the Top.  All that plus all the usual things you’ve come to expect from the Everything Actioncast.

  • Show and Tell: Joe watched The Mist and Signs, Chris watched a bunch of TV including Mad Men and Zach watched the Burn Notice season finale, The A-Team, the rightfully forgotten 90’s action movie Detonator, Mega Piranha and Tron: Legacy.
  • News: Trailers for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Rango and Fast Five, David Fincher directing a new 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea movie, Jon Favreau not doing Iron Man 3, The Transporter coming to TV and SyFy/Universal forming a film production arm.  Also New Release Round Up with movies trying to get into that last minute Christmas gift window.
  • The 5th Annual Kick Ass Awards: Move over Oscars and take a seat Golden Globes because the only awards that matter are here.  We award such illustrious honors as Most Realistic Use of Computers, Best Exaggeration of Real Life Events, Best Commercial for China and of course Ass Kicker of the Year and Movie of the Year.

  1. […] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Everything Action, Brian Mayo. Brian Mayo said: @evaction Kick Ass Awards (again, I'm not present): http://bit.ly/dOovh7 […]

  2. Speaking of B-movie Pierce Brosnan films, check out “Live Wire”. It’s not a bad film and it has an extra evil Ron Silver(RIP). Plus Brosnan made a sequel to Detonator (I’m sure it’s extra shitty as the original).
