The Hunger Games Teaser Trailer

Despite having nothing to do with anything music related, MTV debuted the first footage from the upcoming movie adaptation of book one of The Hunger Games trilogy, aptly titled The Hunger Games.  The books, if you aren’t up to speed, follow heroine Katniss Everdeen, who lives in District 12 of the country of Panem, which rose up from the ashes of North America following a devastating war.  The districts previously tried to rebel against the central government of the Capitol and lost, so every year, each district must send a boy and a girl to battle to the death in an arena.  Katniss (played by Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to go to the arena to protect her little sister.  The teaser MTV showed is better than vague images in flames some other movies have done but it’s still not a whole lot besides Katniss running into one of the many traps of the arena.  Jennifer Lawrence seems like she’s going to be a fine Katniss and the rest of the cast seems pretty strong as well including Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson and Toby Jones.  You can check out the teaser below and the movie is out next March.
