We’ve talked about great movie soundtracks, composers, musical sequences and music videos for movie songs but this week we’re featuring a music video that pays homage to classic 70′s cop shows like Starksy & Hutch with the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage”. Directed by Jackass producer and Where the Wild Things Are director Spike Jonze, the video finds Mike D, Ad-Rock and MCA as a trio of mustachioed detectives, getting into the usual situations a 70′s cop would find himself in like knife fights, shootouts, car chases and forceful questioning of suspects. It’s an amazing video for an amazing song and if you’ve never seen it, stop what you are doing and watch it now.
