The latest documentary from Morgan Spurlock isn’t dealing with anything controversial like the fast food industry or product placement but instead on the insanity that is San Diego Comic Con. Comic Con has exploded into a mecca for all things nerdy and Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope follows three different people heading to the Con for collectibles, to show off their awesome costume design and to try and break into the comic industry. There’s also interviews with geek luminaries like Eli Roth, Kevin Smith, Seth Rogen and the movie is produced by Stan Lee and Joss Whedon. This could have easily turned into a “look at the freaks” sort of movie but the people they are choosing to follow seem pretty normal and passionate about their goal at Comic Con so hopefully it’s interesting and fun. Check out the trailer below and the movie will have a very limited release in April in theaters.
