Nickelodeon and Paramount got the rights to the Ninja Turtles awhile ago but the show is finally coming out later this year and, possibly because of this week’s Everything Actioncast and our TMNT discussion, a new trailer is out. The show is CG and once again, starts at the beginning with the Turtles training under Splinter and fighting Shredder and the Foot. I don’t know if it’s just the tone of this particular trailer, but it is disturbingly goofy. Booyakasha, really? It is on Nickelodeon but that doesn’t mean it has to be completely wacky, they did air Avatar the Last Airbender and currently air Legend of Korra, and both of those seem to appeal to both kids and adults. I don’t expect the gritty, violent original turtles but a balance between comedy and action would be nice. The show is out this fall and you can check out the trailer below.
