There’s been a bit of lull in the found footage genre as of late, probably because they would be crushed under the summer blockbusters and are more of a fall/winter thing and one of those fall found footage movies is the UK’s “The Dinosaur Project”. The movie follows a group of explorers who head to Africa to try and uncover the legendary monster Mokele-Mbembe, what many believe is a dinosaur that survived into modern day. The group discovers that not only is Mokele-Mbembe real, there is an entire ecosystem of dinosaurs in the African jungles and they are all hungry for human. If you ever wondered what Jurassic Park would be like as a found footage movie with a tenth of the budget, The Dinosaur Project might answer your question. It’s out in the UK in August and probably sometime later for the US and you can check out the trailer below.
