Part 1 of The Dark Knight Returns was a pretty great adaptation of the Frank Miller classic and Part 2 looks to keep that up. Picking up where Part 1 left off, The Joker awakens from his comatose state with the return of Batman and proceeds to wreak his particular brand of havoc while Batman and his new army of followers set out to clean up Gotham City once and for all. Batman’s vigilante actions draw both the attention of the new police commissioner and Superman, dispatched by the President to try and reason with, and stop if necessary, Batman. Peter Weller is still very mechanical as Batman but Michael Emerson seems like he could be a particularly creepy Joker. Part 2 is out early next year and you can check out the trailer below.
