Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 Trailer

Easily one of the best Sony Animation movies was the original Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs that was super fun with lots of nerdy references and jokes from directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who went on to direct the hilarious 21 Jump Street movie and are currently working on the Lego movie.  Taking over Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn and the movie follows Bill Hader’s Flint Lockwood and his friends as they head back to home town of Swallow Falls, which they had to abandon when Flint’s latest invention, the FLDSMDFR, went haywire and caused massive food disasters.  Flint, his girlfriend Sam (Anna Faris), his pet monkey Steve (Neil Patrick Harris), Police Officer Earl (voiced by Terry Crews instead of Mr. T), Flint’s dad Tim (James Caan) and local mascot Brent (Andy Samberg) head back to Swallow Falls to see if it’s safe to come back and they find that strange food based creatures have evolved.  It has a very Jurassic Park/Lost World feel and I’m sure there will be tons of creative creatures that they have created.  It looks super fun and it’s out in September, and you can check out the trailer below.
