Carrie Fisher Confirms Involvement in Star Wars Episode VII

Princess Leia is back!

During a recent interview with Palm Beach Illustrated, Carrie Fisher was short and sweet in regards to her reprisal of her most iconic role, Princess Leia, in Disney’s Star Wars Episode VII:

“Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?

Yes.”

I don’t really think you can get much more definitive than that, right?

Well, maybe it does get more definitive.

This is great news for Star Wars Episode VII, which is already exciting fanboys around the world (galaxy?) with the all-but-officially confirmed involvement of Harrison Ford and Mark Hamil as Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, Disney’s Star Wars Episode VII will hit theaters sometime in 2015. In the meantime, tell us what you think about this news in the comments!
