Godzilla Vandalizes San Diego!

Everybody’s favorite Kaiju has officially made his presence known to attendees of San Diego Comic Con and citizens alike!

Legendary has treated us to what I am hoping is the first of many cool viral marketing pieces for their highly anticipated re-imagining of Godzilla. The picture below, which comes to us via Twitter (@MyNameIsCedric), is a mural on a warehouse displaying the Legendary logo… Oh yeah, and also a giant claw mark from Godzilla, as well as what some of the more dedicated nerds out there are saying is his eye. I’m not sure if I see it, but I also (sadly) haven’t seen it in person.

While this is pretty gnarly, I think the more significant information about the film yet has hit the internet relatively unnoticed, via a rundown of SDCC 2013’s Saturday schedule:

“An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla,this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.”

I think it’s safe to say that Godzilla’s main opposition will come in the form of some pretty badass monsters and not some comically inept military leaders and Matthew Broderick.
