Gravity remained strong over the weekend, keeping first place against the similarly targeted and reviewed Captain Phillips, which took second.  Gravity took in another $44 million, dropping only 20% from last weekend and the amount of 3D tickets actually increased from last weekend, most likely because everyone is telling their friends and family that they have to see it in 3D.  Captain Phillips had a strong debut with $26 million, one of the best recent debuts for Tom Hanks.  Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 dropped to third with $14.2 million while Machete Kills did fairly horrible with $3.8 million, while the original made $11.4 million and despite tons of big names being attached.  Runner Runner rounded out the top 5 with $3.7 million.  Other than that, nothing else really moved around too much and it shouldn’t as Gravity and Captain Phillips have the word of mouth to stay on top.
