The Double Trailer

In another weird case of two movies having the exact same idea, we had the trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal’s Enemy last week and this week we have the trailer for The Double, starring Jesse Eisenberg.  Both deal with someone meeting their exact double, although Enemy is more of a thriller and The Double is apparently a comedy, although you’d be hard pressed to figure that out from the trailer.  Jesse Eisenberg plays both Simon, a shy but intelligent man who gets a new co-worker, James, who not only looks exactly like him, but is the exact opposite of his personality, incredibly charming and confident.  Simon becomes worried when it seems like James is trying to take over Simon’s life.  Mia Wasikowska, Wallace Shawn, Sally Hawkins and Chris O’Dowd co-star and the movie is directed by The IT Crowd’s Richard Ayoade.  It has an April release date in the UK and should be out in May in the states.
