Crossbones Trailer

At least two of us here at Everything Action watched and enjoyed Starz gritty, violent take on pirates with Black Sails but now NBC is getting in on the action with Crossbones, starring John Malkovich as Blackbeard.  Set at the same time and location as Black Sails and, bizarrely, seeming to have the exact same plot, Crossbones finds Blackbeard in a tenuous partnership with physician Thomas Lowe, who is the only one who can recreate a cipher that will lead to treasure.  Malkovich should be fun to watch but it will definitely be less sex and violence filled than Black Sails, which may be a deal breaker for some.  It’s premiering at the end of May and you can check out the trailer below.
