Fall TV 2014: CBS

cbs

CBS put spin offs of CSI and NCIS into production for the Fall but the big shocker is that they passed on How I Met Your Dad, the spiritual sequel to How I Met Your Mother.  Instead, comedy wise, they have The McCarthys, about a rowdy Boston family and a reboot of the odd couple.  The main show at the network that everyone is waiting to see something from though is Battle Creek, from Breaking Bad’s Vince Gilligan, but there’s no trailer as of yet.  Check out the trailers we do have below along with CBS’ new Fall schedule.

Madam Secretary

Starring: Tea Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Erich Bergen, Geoffrey Arend, Patina Miller, Evan Roe, Katherine Herzer

Premise: Explores the personal and professional life of a maverick female Secretary of State as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.

Scorpion

Starring: Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Ari Stidham, Ernie Hudson

Premise: An eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age.

NCIS: New Orleans

Starring: Scott Bakula, Paige Turco

Premise: Set at the NCIS New Orleans office, which handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle.

Stalker

Starring: Dylan McDermott, Maggie Q, Mariana Klaveno, Victor Rasuk

Premise: Psychological thriller revolves around a pair of detectives who handle stalking incidents for the Threat Management Unit of the LAPD.

The McCarthys

Starring: Jack McGee, Joey McIntyre, Laurie Metcalf, Jimmy Dunn, Kelen Coleman

Premise: Story about a big Irish Catholic, sports-crazed Boston clan and the gay son whose greatest sin is not his sexuality but his desire to spend less time with his family.
