Part 1 of the final chapter in The Hunger Games trilogy begins this November as Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) arrives in the rebel District 13 and they plan on finally taking the fight to President Snow (Donald Sutherland), who is executing anyone showing a hint of rebellion and has also captured and brainwashed Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Johanna (Jena Malone). Joining the established characters are Julianne Moore as District 13 president, Alma Coin, Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer as Cressida, a Capitol reporter turned rebel, and Gwendoline Christie as Commander Lyme, District 2 rebellion commander. Robert Knepper plays Antonius, a minister to President Snow and a new character created just for the movie. If you’ve liked The Hunger Games movies so far, this looks on par and will probably be just as enjoyable but any newcomers or people who didn’t really enjoy the previous movies will probably want to hold off or skip it. I’m interested to see how dark they will go, as Mockingjay, the book, goes in some crazy, violent directions by the end. Check out the teaser below.
