It’s been five years since we last checked in with the world’s greatest museum security guard, Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) but he and his historical friends are back this coming Christmas with the third entry in the series, Secret of the Tomb. The magical Egyptian tablet that allows the various exhibits to come alive at night in New York City’s Museum of Natural History seems to be losing it’s powers so Larry, his son Nick (Skyler Gisondo), Theodore Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Sacajawea (Mizuo Peck), Jebediah and Octavius (Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan) and Akmenrah (Rami Malek) head to the British Museum in London to find Akmenrah’s father, the Pharoah (Ben Kingsley), who originally created the tablet. Dan Stevens of Downton Abbey helps out the crew as Lancelot and Rebel Wilson is Larry’s British counterpart. This seems a little bit like a step down after the last movie’s visit to the Smithsonian but we’ll have to see in December. Check out the trailer below.
