The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Trailer

As with pretty much every big franchise based on a book series, the final book of the Hunger Games trilogy, Mockingjay, is getting split into two parts, with part 2 hitting this November.  After escaping from the arena during Catching Fire, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) finds herself in the supposedly destroyed District 13, which is now the headquarters of the rebellion and reluctantly agrees to become the face of the resistance and lead an assault on President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the Capitol.  However, Snow has an ace up his sleeve with a captured and brainwashed Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), who is spreading propaganda against the rebellion.  It seems like the movie is going to try and match the scope of the final book, which turns into a full on war story by the end, with genetically engineered lizard men and Katniss’ new high tech armor and bow.  Julianne Moore, Natalie Dormer, Gwendoline Christie and Robert Knepper are some of the new faces joining the franchise with Woody Harrelson, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Liam Hemsworth and Jeffrey Wright being some of the returning stars.  Check out the trailer below.
