Musical Montage: Shampoo “Trouble”

Although they had a catalog of songs from the guitar shredding Ron Wasserman, the soundtrack for Power Rangers: The Movie had a strange mix of songs from bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Van Halen, Devo, Snap!, They Might Be Giants and, the band highlighted today, Shampoo.  Hailing from the UK, Shampoo was a pair of British ladies, Jacqui Blake and Carrie Askew, who feel kind of like a proto-Spice Girls and the video for their song on the soundtrack, and their biggest hit, “Trouble”, feels like what it must be like to do acid while watching MMPR episodes.  It’s like that video for “Groove is in the Heart” by Deee-lite but instead of Lady Miss Kier dancing around, it’s Ivan Ooze.  Check out all the madness below.
