Kick Ass Gift Guide 2015: Joe’s Picks

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection: If you’re a fan of action, adventure, beautifully-designed games, great writing, and shooting at stuff… Or any combination thereof… You owe it to yourself to check out the original Uncharted series. Especially now that it has been ported into glorious PS4 sexiness.

Batman vs Superman: Their Greatest Battles: Desperate money grab ahead of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice? You bet. Great collection. Also you bet. Features all-star comic talents Frank Miller, Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, Jeph Loeb, Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo and more. This collection of stories tackles the oldest fan debate in comics: Who would win—Superman or Batman?

Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus Vol. 1: See how it all started… The earliest days of the Dark Knight Detective. These comics, at the risk of sounding blasphemous, are EXTREMELY dated. So they aren’t for little ones. In fact, if you grew up on the Frank Miller Batman, you might find it hard to connect with, too. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t great stories and a cool look back at one of the most beloved characters in American pop culture.

Grave Before Shave Pine/Cedar Wood Beard Oil: Let’s face it. You’re a man. Or maybe you’re not. Either way, you like beards, right? Ok fine, maybe you don’t. But this is my list. I have a beard. And I enjoy it. I also enjoy Christmas. Man + Beard + Christmas = Grave Before Shave Pine Beard Oil. You’ll smell like Christmas tree and feel like a man. And really, what else is there in life? Side note, check out all the Grave Before Shave products. It’s like if Unknown Hinson and Glenn Danzig had a men’s grooming line. If you’re not sold just by reading that, I can’t help you.

Sinatra: All or Nothing at All: If anything about the above description got your blood pumping, you need this under your tree. Sure, Sinatra is America’s most treasured crooner. And he wasn’t a bad actor. Above all, he was a legendary badass and man’s man. Discover his incredible story, including his astounding rise to fame, fall from grace, and resurgence years later. One of the best documentaries I’ve seen in a long time.

The Filthy Truth by Andrew Dice Clay: OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Nakatomi Plaza Die Hard Collection: You for sure already own at least the first Die Hard movie. And you’re absolutely right, the packaging is ridiculous. But look at it. Now tell me you don’t want Santa to hook you up? This is the gift that really says yippee-ki-yay.

WWE 2K16: “If you wanna play with the biggest roster to date, drink some beer, and dish out some Stone Cold Stunners… GIMME A ‘HELL YEAH!'”
