The Everything Action crew is kicking off 2016 with a bang by watching arguably The Rock’s greatest movie, The Rundown.
Arriving in 2003, The Rundown is The Rock’s second starring vehicle after The Scorpion King and firmly established him as one of the new action greats (there’s even a sort of passing of the torch in The Rundown with an Arnold cameo). It’s also probably one of the best Seann William Scott movies too as he plays an Indiana Jones type filtered through Stifler and it also has Rosario Dawson in one of her first big blockbuster roles. Plus, there’s a scenery devouring Christopher Walken and some incredible action sequences.
Peter Berg directed after his debut Very Bad Things and went on to direct Friday Night Lights, The Kingdom, Hancock, Lone Survivor and…Battleship (they can’t all be winners).
We’ll be watching The Rundown at the end of the month for our commentary and you can check it out right now on Netflix.
