  • 21 Jump St/Men in Black Crossover moving forward at Sony: Sony is moving forward with the plan to crossover 21 Jump St. with Men in Black that got leaked during their massive e-mail hack in 2014.  Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum would return as Schmidt and Jenko for the Jump St side of things but Sony is looking for a pair of younger agents to replace Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith.  James Bobin, director of Flight of the Conchords and The Muppets, is in talks to direct.
  • Sony making a Venom solo movie: Sony has hired a new screenwriter for a Venom solo film that seemed to stall out after Amazing Spider-Man 2.  This new movie would not be part of the joint Sony/Marvel Spider-Man films with Tom Holland and exist in it’s own continuity.
  • Death Wish remake moving forward with Bruce Willis: It’s been rumored for years but a remake of the Charles Bronson classic Death Wish is moving forward at MGM/Paramount with Bruce Willis in talks to star and Israeli directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado are in talks to direct.  The duo previously made a revenge thriller with Big Bad Wolves in 2013.
  • Rick and Morty are back this year: Dan Harmon confirmed at Magic City Comic Con that Season 3 of Rick and Morty will arrive this year, although the exact date is still up in the air.  The new season will be the longest yet with 14 episodes and needs to resolve the massive cliffhanger at the end of Season 2.
  • Tituss Burgess has his own Pinot Noir: Among the many highlights of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 1 was the music video for Peeno Noir by Titus Andromedon and now actor Titus Burgess has revealed that he has his own line of Pinot Noir now called Pinot by Titus.  The Pinot is $24.99 and will start shipping on March 14th from the website.
  • Jordana Brewster joins the Lethal Weapon show: The Fast & Furious co-star has joined the Lethal Weapon show over at Fox as Dr. Maureen Cahill, the LAPD’s hostage negotiator and in-house therapist.  Damon Wayans is playing Murtaugh and Riggs has still yet to be cast.
  • Agents of SHIELD renewed for a fourth seasonABC renewed Agents of SHIELD for a fourth season along with renewals for most of their comedies and the Thursday lineup of dramas.  The second half of season 3 starts this coming Tuesday.
  • TNT getting Artificial Intelligence from Luc Besson: The French action auteur is producing and co-writing a new show for TNT called Artificial Intelligence, which follows an AI entity that escapes from a lab and starts carrying out a mysterious plan.  The lab sends out a team of specialists to hunt down and find out what the AI is planning.
  • Possible details on a Suspiria remake: Director Luca Guadagnino, who is attached currently to a remake of the horror classic Suspiria, mentioned some of his ideas for the film at a Q&A, including casting Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson in the leads and setting the film in 1977 Berlin.
  • Big Hero 6 coming to Disney XD as a series: The first Marvel movie from Disney Animation is coming to Disney XD in the near future as a series where the team defends San Fransokyo from new threats.  It’s not clear if any of the cast from the film will return but the team behind Kim Possible are writing and producing the show.
  • Leads cast in new Shawn Ryan show: Shawn Ryan can’t seem to catch a break as Mad Dogs is another of his series to be cancelled in it’s first season but he’s trying again with Time for NBC.  Eric Kripke of Supernatural is co-creating the show with Ryan and Matt Lanter and Abigail Spencer have been cast in the leads as agents who must travel through time to stop a criminal master criminal from altering the past.
  • Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey cast in The Dark Tower: Stephen King confirmed that Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey are starring in the adaptation of his fantasy novel The Dark Tower.  Elba will play the Gunslinger and McConaughey will be the evil and mysterious Man in Black.  Nicolaj Arcel, who wrote the original Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is directing.
  • Nick bringing back Legends of the Hidden Temple as a TV movie: Nick is bringing back arguably their best 90’s game show as TV movie, which will air late this year.  The movie will find three siblings entering a legendary temple and learn it’s secrets from Olmec and there will be nods to the colorful animal teams of the show as well.
  • Stallone may have a role in Guardians of the Galaxy 2Sly was apparently seen heading to the set of Guardians 2 with a script in hand but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.  Kurt Russell officially joined the movie recently but in a still undisclosed role.
