The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins became the next big crime thriller novel after Gone Girl and, just like Gone Girl, it’s getting a film adaptation this fall.  Starring Emily Blunt as a woman named Rachel, who takes the train to work every day and may have spied something that could reveal what happened to his ex-husband’s nanny, Megan (Haley Bennett), who has gone missing.  Rachel remembers that she saw Megan the day she disappeared but can’t remember other details and is afraid she might have had something to do with it, as she’s also an alcoholic since her marriage fell apart.  Justin Theroux, Allison Janney, Luke Evans, Lisa Kudrow, Edgar Ramirez and Laura Prepon co-star and Tate Taylor, who directed The Help and Get On Up is directing.  It’s definitely trying to evoke that Gone Girl/Fincher style and is arriving in October this year, check out the trailer below.
