The Magnificent Seven Ride Again This Fall (Trailer)

Antoine Fuqua and Denzel Washington are back together and following up The Equalizer with another remake, this time a new version of John Sturges’ violent, classic Western The Magnificent Seven.  Denzel plays Sam Chisolm, a sharpshooter who takes on a mission from a wronged woman (Haley Bennett) to take on a ruthless gang leader, played by Peter Sarsgaard, who has an army of goons at his disposal.  Chisholm recruits six other gunslingers (Chris Pratt, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ethan Hawke, Lee Byung-Hun, Martin Sensmeier, Manuel Garcia Rulfo) to take on the gang and free the town that has been under siege.  Matt Bomer, Vinnie Jones, Luke Grimes and Cam Gigandet co-star as well.  There have been a bunch of really great but slower and more introspective Westerns recently but this one seems like just a fun, old school shoot em up with a crazy cast.  It’s out on September 23 and you can check out the trailer below.
