Stranger Things Are Happening on Netflix in July (Trailer)

Netflix is continuing their nostalgic approach to original shows in a slightly different way with the upcoming series Stranger Things.  Instead of a reboot or continuation like Fuller House or Voltron, Stranger Things is more an homage to 80’s classics like Poltergeist or Close Encounters as a young boy, Will, disappears in a small town under mysterious circumstances.  His mother (Winona Ryder) and his friends are part of the search effort to find him and they uncover what seems to be some sort of government project that may be involved in Will’s disappearance and girl with strange powers might be the key to unlocking the mystery.  I think it’s trying to do the same thing the JJ Abrams’ was trying to do with Super 8 but hopefully it will come together a little bit better than that movie.  All episodes will be available on July 15th and you can check out the trailer below.
