E3 2016: Microsoft

Microsoft took the stage at E3 2016 to reveal a bunch of changes coming to both their consoles and services and to show off gameplay for Gears of War 4, Scalebound, Forza Horizons 3 and more.  Check out the new and trailers below.

  • Xbox One S is coming in August. It will be 40% smaller than the current Xbox One and allow for 4K video.  It’s $300 for a 500GB version, $350 for a 1TB and $400 for a 2TB.
  • XBox Play Anywhere is coming and if you purchase a game on Xbox One, you will also get it on Windows 10 and vice versa and cross play will be available between the platforms as well.
  • Project Scorpio is coming in the fall, it will “the most powerful console ever” and featuring 6 teraflops of performance power and output 4K and be VR ready.
  • You can design your own custom Xbox One controllers in a variety of colors and even get engraved text on it.  The custom controllers will be $79.99 each.
  • Xbox Live will be getting a tournament section called “Arena”, a “Looking for Group” feature to help players find other players looking to do specific things in game and Clubs where players can join with other gamers who share the same interests.
