Musical Montage: Dead Man’s Bones

Currently showing off his old school musical singing and dancing chops in La La Land, Ryan Gosling is no stranger to the world of music as he’s had a side project called Dead Man’s Bones with friend Zach Shields.  The duo met in 2005 and bonded over their mutual love of The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland and decided to write gothic rock songs together.  In 2009, their first album, the self titled Dead Man’s Bones was released and the duo collaborated with the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir as backup vocalists.  In the fall of 2009, the duo toured around the country for a series of Halloween themed shows and brought in local children’s choirs for every show as well as having a talent show.  That 2009 album is the only major release for Dead Man’s Bones but their song “In the Room Where You Sleep” was used in The Conjuring and their song “Lose Your Soul” was used in the French film Age of Panic.  Check out some of Dead Man’s Bones songs below.
