After Infinite Warfare, despite being pretty great, underperformed last year, Activision is heading back to it’s roots for Call of Duty: WWII on November 3rd for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Coming from Sledgehammer Games, the team behind Advanced Warfare aka the one with evil Kevin Spacey, WWII puts you in the boots of an infantryman in Europe and features battles like D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge in what looks like gritty, brutal gameplay. The last game to go back to World War 2 was World at War in 2008 but this actually also seems to call back to the PS2 and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, as your character is a member of the 1st Infantry Division. Nazi Zombie mode will return as well after the last few zombie modes have gone in some wild directions in the most recent games. Check out the trailer below.
