EA Commentary: Spawn

For the latest Everything Action Commentary, Zach, Chris, Chris Ali and Joe dive into the world of Todd McFarlane’s Spawn with the 1997 movie adaptation.  Starring the once and future Black Dynamite, Michael Jai White, stars as Spawn aka Al Simmons, who is betrayed by his boss Jason Wynn (Martin Sheen) and sent to Hell but, because of convoluted Satan logic, he’s able to return to exact revenge and is given necroplasmic powers but is also tormented by the antics of Violator (John Leguizamo), who takes the form of a short, fat clown.  The guys try to figure out if Al Simmons is actually a terrorist in the beginning of the movie, what exactly everyone is trying to achieve, did the movie mean to get Joe Estevez and not Martin Sheen, how terrible the effects are looking back, the many times someone says “Wanda” and much more.  The movie is streaming on Netflix, so you can sync up our commentary below and check it out.
