Musical Montage: Huey Lewis and the News “Doing It All for My Baby”

It’s October again which means it’s time to get ooky and spooky all month here at Everything Action.  The band kicking off Musical Montage for the month though is maybe the least scary band in music history, Huey Lewis and the News.  The song isn’t particularly monster or horror related either as “Doing It All for My Baby” is your typical easy going Huey Lewis song but the music video is a mini epic in the vein of Thriller as Huey and the band pay homage to classic Universal monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster and The Bride of Frankenstein (played by Tara Shannon in the music video).  The setup is that the band’s van crashes near a spooky castle and Huey is crushed under it trying to make repairs, so the band seeks shelter and various macabre things happen to them, including beheadings while Huey is brought back to life as The Monster by a mad scientist, also played by Huey.  The entire video is over seven minutes of goofy horror goodness and you can check it out below.
