Movie of the Month: Horror Express

Hitting in 1972, Horror Express was a joint Spanish and British production that featured two of the greatest horror icons ever, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.

Usually battling each other in the Hammer horror classics, which were winding down around the time Horror Express came out, the legendary pair are up against one of the most unusual creatures in horror history, a frozen Sasquatchesque creature that has been taken over by a psychic alien parasite.  The movie is actually sort of another spin on the short novella “Who Goes There?”, which also spawned The Thing From Another World and eventually, John Carpenter’s The Thing.  With Telly Savalas there as a Cossack officer as well, this movie is some crazy vintage horror fun and we’ll be checking it out at the end of the month just in time for Halloween.
