Revenge Goes Sci-Fi in Upgrade (Trailer)

Coming from Blumhouse and director Leigh Whannell, co-creator of the Saw and Insidious franchises, Upgrade takes a classic revenge movie setup and gives it a sci-fi twist.  Logan Marshall-Green, who has co-starred in movies like Alien: Covenant, Prometheus and Spider-Man: Homecoming, plays Grey Trace, a man who is paralyzed after a brutal attack that also leaves his wife dead.  Offered a chance to both walk again and get revenge from a tech billonaire, Grey accepts and gets a microchip called STEM into his body.  STEM includes an AI that talks to Grey and can take over and control his body movements, allowing Grey to perform superhuman acts in his quest for revenge.  Unfortunately for Grey, he seems to be up against other enhanced humans, including one who has a gun embedded in his forearm and the whole world is a near future landscape with self driving cars, smarthouses, printable food and other tech improvements.  The movie promises to be action packed and brutal and is out on June 1st.  Check out the red band trailer below.
