EA Commentary: Last Action Hero

Celebrating it’s 25th anniversary earlier this month, Zach, Chris and Chris Ali jump through the movie screen and into the world of Last Action Hero for the latest Everything Action Commentary.  Starring our patron saint, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Jack Slater (and himself later on), the movie follows young action movie fan Danny Madigan (Austin O’Brien) as he is given a magical ticket by his buddy Nick (Robert Prosky) that sucks him into the world of Jack Slater IV, where he helps his hero Jack take on his latest nemesis, the evil drug dealer Benedict (Charles Dance).  The movie is full of in-jokes and meta references to Arnold movies and 90’s action and culture in general and features a slew of cameos from the likes of Tina Turner, JCVD, Chevy Chase and more and it’s probably the only action movie in history to heavily feature The Seventh Seal.  The movie is unfortunately not streaming anywhere, so you’ll have to find a copy and then watch along with the Everything Action crew.
