Just when the story of Fight Club 3 can’t get any more perplexing, Chuck Palahniuk reveals some shocking history of Marla Singer. What was believed to be a series of unfortunate coincidences in Marla’s life has been a carefully planned out scenario. But the reason why and what’s the result has yet to be revealed. Cameron Stewart and McCaig provide excellent visuals to bring the outlandish story to life. Stewart brings a level of dark humor to a few scenes that play well for shock value and laughs.
This issue strikes a good balance between zany comedy and twisted drama. Palahniuk leads the story to be wild and unpredictable. If the momentum hopes up to the end, readers should be ready for anything to happen in the next two issues.
