In the biggest and most jam packed weekend of the year, The Hobbit managed to hold off all comers, whether they were new releases or movies expanding wide.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies easily dominated the box office with over $90 million for it’s five days out while Exodus took a nose dive and Night at the Museum 3 had the worst opening of the series.
The week before Christmas brings us three new movies including the epic conclusion of The Hobbit trilogy, the possible end of the Night at the Museum series and a new Annie.
