Man of Steel had the second highest opening for the year and the highest opening ever for June this weekend at the box office.
Out of nowhere, The Purge took the top spot at the box office with $36.4 million, one of the best horror movie openings ever.
Fast & Furious 6 remained on top despite dropping quite a bit from last weekend while Now You See Me was a surprise hit and bested After Earth, which proved that M. Night Shyamalan is pretty much box office poison at this point.
