I talked about it on the podcast last week but now you can watch the 1970′s lost horror classic, Horror Express.  Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing take a break from trying to kill each other in the Hammer Dracula series to team up to take down a bloodthirsty Yeti monster that’s melting people’s brains on a train speeding through Siberia.  Telly Savalas c0-stars as a Russian Cossack captain.  It’s a really fun movie that has a new twist on your information about the monster every 15-20 minutes and it’s great to see Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing doing science and teaming up and there’s a bunch of other crazy characters on the train as well like spies, chess playing physicists, crazy monks and a Russian count and countess.  Check out the whole movie below.

Hulu brings us one of the best Jackie Chan movies, available in full below, with Supercop aka Police Story 3.  Jackie Chan stars as Hong Kong cop Kevin Ka-Kui who joins forces with Interpol agent Jessica Yang (Michelle Yeoh) to take down a druglord named Chaibat.  Kevin and Jessica go undercover with Kevin having to engage in an elaborate prison break to gain the trust of Chaibat’s underling, Panther.  There’s tons of amazing action sequences including a jungle raid on one of Chaibat’s drug deals and the finale involving a helicopter and a train and it’s awesome to have arguably the greatest male and female martial arts action stars teaming up in the same movie.  Check out the movie below.

Hulu put a bunch of new movies up for the new year and one of them is Robert Rodriguez’s dead on adaptation of Frank Miller’s Sin City comics.  Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Elijah Wood, Clive Owen, Benicio Del Toro, Rosario Dawson and many more, the movies follows a bunch of characters in interweaving stories as they try and survive the crime ridden streets of Sin City (not to be confused with Las Vegas).  The movie manages to match the stylish black and white of the comics with jarring flashes of color.  Check out the whole movie below.

A classic of the 80′s ninja genre, Pray for Death stars Sho Kosugi as a mild mannered Japanese business man, Akira Saito, who has a secret past as a master of ninjitsu.  He moves his family to America at his wife’s behest and they buy a restaurant in a horrible section of the New Orleans looking city they move to.  Unknown to the family, a criminal gang has been hiding a cache of stolen diamonds in the abandoned cigar store connected to the restaurant but they go missing and a things quickly spiral out of control until Akira is forced to unleash his full ninja arsenal against the criminals.  It’s super cheesy in the best way possible and you can watch the whole movie, thanks to YouTube and whatever studio that has the rights to Pray for Death not caring.

Just in time for this weekend is the original slasher classic, Halloween.  John Carpenter brings us the unrelenting killer that is Michael Myers, who proves there is nothing more frightening than a white William Shatner mask.  Jamie Lee Curtis stars as Laurie Strode, whose Halloween babysitting gig goes horribly awry when Myers escapes from the insane asylum he was living at and goes on a murdering spree.  Donald Pleasance co-stars as the incredibly bad ass Dr. Loomis, who is the only man who understands what Myers is capable of and how to stop him.  Besides the iconic look of Myers, the movie also has one of the most famous themes of all time, composed by Carpenter himself.  Check out the full movie below, courtesy of Hulu.

It’s been a while since we’ve had an Everything Action Theater entry but, man, do we have a doosy right here.  Cool As Ice was the first (and last) starring vehicle for one Vanilla Ice, who stars as Johnny, leader of a motorcycle gang who roll into a small town where Johnny becomes infatuated with the WASPy Kathy.  Unfortunately, Kathy’s father is in witness protection after he ratted out a couple of his fellow police officers for corruption but a local news report about Kathy’s achievements cause the corrupt cops to come looking for revenge.  There’s way too many awesomely bad scenes to list, from Ice trying to impress Kathy by jumping his cycle in front of her horse, almost killing her, to Ice’s classic line of “Drop that Zero and get with the Hero”.  If there was a hall of fame for awesomely bad, cheesy movies, Cool as Ice would be one of the first inaugurated.  Check out the whole crazy thing below, courtesy of Hulu.

From the depths of cinematic hell come Deadfall.  Michael Biehn stars as the son of a con man who journeys to California to find his uncle after his father is killed on a job.  But who cares about the plot when this movie features the single most insane Nicolas Cage performance, who co-stars as Eddie, the right hand man of Michael Biehn’s uncle.  Cage seems drunk, coked out or both in every single scene he is in, his accent changes in the middle of scenes, he randomly just starts shouting at people and he has one of the most ridiculous deaths in movie history.  It is an absolutely amazing example of a director just saying, “You can do whatever the hell you want”.  As if Cage wasn’t enough insanity for you, later in the film there’s a potential con target who is basically a Bond villain, complete with a pneumatic pincer for a hand.  Other than these insane characters, the movie is a really basic con artist movie, which makes Cage and Dr. Claw all the more crazy when you see them.  You can watch the whole crazy mess right here, thanks to Hulu.

The latest movie to be featured in our Everything Action Theater falls firmly in the “awesomely/hilariously bad” category with 2002′s Reign of Fire.  Starring a pre-Batman Christian Bale and an insane, bald and tattooed Matthew McCoughney, Reign of Fire follows a group of survivors in England who are trying to hide from the dragons who have taken over the planet.  McCoughney and his band of American troops arrive to hunt down the main dragon they believe is living in the ruins of London.  The special effects are still pretty damn good but the story and characters are completely ridiculous.  It’s fun to watch by itself but I highly recommend you pick up the Rifftrax and watch them together.  You can check out the whole movie below, thanks to Hulu.

Rifftrax has made their way to Hulu with a number of their shorts and feature length commentaries becoming available for free.  All of them are well worth checking out but the one we’re featuring here on Everything Action is the original victim of Rifftrax, Night of the Living Dead.  Originally just riffed by Mike Nelson, this new version features Mike and his MST3K cohorts Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett as they make George Romero’s zombie classic a whole lot less scary and a lot more funny.  You can watch the whole movie below and definitely head over to Rifftrax’s page on Hulu to check out their other movie and short films.

Hulu has been adding movies from the Criterion collection to it’s selection of movies for a while now, but they have always been for HuluPlus members only.  Well, one that is available to everyone is the original 1956 Godzilla, the first ever appearance by the King of the Monsters.  Since this is the American version, Raymond Burr was added as a reporter who is in Tokyo when Godzilla arrives to begin his rampage.  If you’ve never seen the original Godzilla, stop what you are doing and watch it right now, the whole movie is below.

Hulu has a new batch of movies up and one of them is the lost Dennis Quaid 80′s adventure, Dreamscape.  Long before Leonardo DiCaprio and crew were traveling into the different layers of dreams, Quaid’s Alex Gardner was traveling into dreams as part of a secret experiment to help people plagued by chronic nightmares.  As they are want to do, corrupt government officials want to use the experiment as a weapon, sending dream assassins in to kill targets with no trace that anything has happened.  Dreamscape co-stars Max Von Sydow, David Patrick Kelly (aka Sully from Commando), Christopher Plummer and Kate Capshaw.  Check out the whole movie below.

Hulu brings us the classic Kevin Smith comedy Clerks, in full below.  Follow the misadventures of convenience store clerk Dante Hicks as he suffers through a day of work he’s not even supposed to be there for.  With his friend Randall Graves hanging around, Dante has to deal with irate anti cigarette crusaders, bizarre OCD customers, a rooftop hockey game, the death of one of his ex girlfriends and more.  Outside the store, we follow the antics of pot dealers Jay and Silent Bob.  Check out the whole movie below.

It’s been over a year since we last saw Keifer Sutherland in action on 24 but he’s back to kick ass in a new Hulu web series called “The Confession”.  Keifer plays a hitman who goes to a church to confess to the priest (John Hurt) about his past sins.  At first the priest doesn’t want anything to do with it but is forced to listen to the confessor after he threatens to kill a pair of women in the church if he doesn’t listen to the man.  The men debate the nature of evil and the nature of God as we get flashbacks to things the Confessor has done in the past.  It’s classic Keifer, who’s definitely in Jack Bauer mode but with the added bonus of being able to drop f-bombs at will since this is the internet.  Three episodes debuted today (the 28th) and there will be 10 in total.  You can watch Episode 1 below:

A true action classic has just become available on Hulu, and as a result, right here on Everything Action with 1986′s Highlander.  Starring Christopher Lambert as the immortal Connor McLeod, who we follow from his days living in the medieval highlands of Scotland to the “present” as he must face off against the deadly Kurgan as The Quickening draws all the immortals into a final confrontation.  Awesome sword fights, a fantastic villain, Sean Connery and a soundtrack by Queen, what more could you want?  Check out the whole movie below (and shame on you if you’ve never seen it before).

Popping up on Hulu this week is the John Carpenter classic Assault on Precinct 13, his second movie and the one he did right before Halloween.  The movie follows Lieutenant Ethan Bishop as he is assigned to oversee the last day of operation for the aging 13th Precinct in South Central LA.  Unfortunately for Bishop, today is the day that a vicious gang called “Street Thunder” decides to launch their attack on the police of Los Angeles and Precinct 13 is their main target.  Bishop and the few other people at the station must hold off the assault until help arrives.  The movie also spawned a pretty decent remake starring Ethan Hawke and Laurence Fishburne in 2005.  Check out the original, in full, below.

It’s been a while since Hulu has had anything worthy of an Everything Action Theater entry but finally they have the forgotten Stallone thriller Eye See You. Also known as D-Tox, Stallone plays FBI Agent Jack Malloy who is forced to go to a remote rehab facility to combat his alcoholism. Stallone meets a bunch of other recovering law enforcement and military types but one of them also happens to be a vicious serial killer. To make things even worse, a blizzard cuts off the facility from the nearest town. It’s certainly not the best Stallone movie but it’s a fairly competent thriller with a couple of cool deaths so if you have some time to kill it’s definitely worth a look and you can watch the whole thing below courtesy of Hulu.

It’s been another long stretch of bizarre Indian movies and Lifetime originals on Hulu but they dropped a crap ton of actual movies onto their servers this week, one of them being the Chris Farley comedy Black Sheep.  While not quite the comedy classic that Tommy Boy is, Black Sheep is still full of hilarious Chris Farley antics and has a great supporting cast.  David Spade is, of course, here as Farley’s sidekick but there’s also USA all star Tim Matheson as Farley’s older brother, who is running for Governor of Washington, and a completely unhinged Gary Busey as a crazed Vietnam vet.  Check out the full movie below.

It’s been a while since an installment of Everything Action Theater.  Not that there hasn’t been any good movies added but we aren’t able to embed them (Real Genius and Krull both were recently added) but now we are able to bring you the Charles Bronson classic Death Wish, in full right here.  After his wife and son are attacked by vicious gang members, a mild mannered man becomes a one man clean up crew and starts killing anyone who gets in his way. The movie also contains the film debut of one Jeff Goldblum. By the time you get to Death Wish 3, the series becomes ridiculous but the original is a classic in the revenge genre.

• Iron Fist movie on the way: Marvel has hired screenwriter Rich Wilkes, previous writer of Airheads and XXX, to write a script for an Iron Fist movie.  Iron Fist is one of Marvel’s lesser known heroes, an extremely skilled martial artist with indestructible fists.  Iron Fist was partners with Luke Cage during the 70′s and has a couple of reboots over the years.
• Netflix iPhone/Ipod Touch App is out: I’m sure we’ll get better impressions from Brian and Joe on next week’s podcast about this app but all reviews seem to say that it’s awesome.

• Fantastic Four Reboot Casting Rumors: Following on the heels of the Spider-Man reboot, Fox is planning a Fantastic Four reboot and there are apparently a couple choices for Reed Richards and Sue Storm.  For Reed the choices are Adrian Brody or Jonathan Rhys Myers and for Sue Storm the choices are Alice Eve or Amber Heard.
• Jeremy Renner co-starring in Mission Impossible 4: Not much to say except Renner has been kick ass in pretty much everything he’s been in, I’m just wondering if if MI4 will ever come out because pretty much everything I read about it is how many problems it’s having.
• Eli Roth making Thanksgiving into full movie: While we eagerly wait for Machete next week, another Grindhouse fake trailer is getting turned into a full movie.  The fake trailer is below in case you forgot what Thanksgiving was.

It’s been a while but Hulu brings us another 80′s classic, which you can watch in full below.  Short Circuit is the story of Number Five, a military robot who gets struck by lightning and gains awareness.  Escaping the testing base, he meets up with Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy and wacky hi-jinks ensue.  What was it in the 80′s that had people so obsessed with crappy robots? (I’m looking at you Rocky IV)
