We’re pleased to announce the first of hopefully many new features here at Everything Action with our new Facebook group.  We have a page but it’s really messy and kind of a pain to update but now with our group you can easily see new stories as they get posted and comment on them as well.  You can also post your own tips, stories, cool links there and also chat with the guys as well.  It’s all happening over at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_175580939144474&ap=1 (Facebook doesn’t have the must convenient urls). Definitely head over there and become a member.

Why all the confusion and downtime? Well, last year I registered the domain through someone and they disappeared. So I had to go through this Chinese company who had the domain, had to transfer to GoDaddy, had to renew and then wait for all the changes. It was slow, complicated, and messy… but now I own the domain till 2009. Phew.

The next episode is our belated Thanksgiving Blowout on the top movie-related voices. Expect the bonus vids for that soon. Saturday night, we recorded our next episode, which will be released Monday, with bonus vids and goodies related to that movie to be released sometime this week. We’re getting back into the groove of things.

It’s Halloween time and even though Air Force One isn’t particulary scary we did get on the subject of what your favorite Goosebumps book was. The show is back on Cartoon Network and we couldn’t be happier. So we wanted to know what your favorite book in the series was. We put it up on Yahoo! Answers which you can get to here: Yahoo! Answers question or you can leave a comment on this post. We’ll read some of the best ones on our spooktacular Halloween show next week.

Our website also doubles as a blog. Along with the podcast, we post bonus YouTube vids from the movies and any other juicy morsels we can find. We call it our “supplemental material”.

• Second, I know my mic sucks. I just ordered a new podcast mic on eBay and it should be here in time for next week’s episode (not the upcoming ep). Doing this podcast, plus equipment and hosting, costs us time and money. NEW YORK — Fans of The Kick Ass Movie Podcast will have a whole new way to enjoy witty movie commentary – on TV.

The American Movie Classics network announced plans today for “The Kick Ass Movie Show”, starring podcast stars Brian Mayo and Zach Sheets. The half-hour program will feature the two hosts in movie discussion, interviews, and other “assorted wackiness”.

For the two college students, it all came as shock, and very quickly. “I remember it began as what I thought to be a joke email… then it sort of escalated from there, and now they want us all the time.” Mayo said.

AMC, which recently revamped its image to include more modern movies, is hoping that the original content will help boost their ratings. “We are huge fans of Brian and Zach’s work,” says AMC original entertainment director A. Paul Freuls in a press release. “We hope we can work with them on long-term basis and on many different projects.”

The Kick Ass Movie Podcast, founded in November 2006, found its way from obscurity to super-stardom very fast. “At first I was like, whatever. But now it’s like it’s a big deal now.” host Zach Sheets comments. Due to the demand of the show, the podcast has been put on “indefinite hiatus” until further notice.

The Kick Ass Movie Show begins filming this summer in hopes for a September premiere. AMC is shooting for 9 episodes for the first season. Mayo and Sheets will also be involved in hosting many movie premieres, such as the Jean Claude Van-Damme movie “Sudden Death” this July.
