An anomaly among Saban’s other 90’s shows that reused Japanese footage, Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation was an original live action series that loosely continued the story of the original three TMNT movies and introduced the controversial fifth Ninja Turtle, Venus De Milo.
The Turtles are back after their 2014 reboot for a sequel that is an improvement in pretty much every way, with some fun, ridiculous action sequences and a tone that feels more like the cartoons we know and love.
