Most likely getting attached to Hall Pass this weekend, we have the the first teaser for The Hangover Part II.  This time the guys are heading to Thailand for Stu’s wedding and despite his efforts to have a tame pre-wedding brunch instead of a bachelor party, crazy shit ensues once again.  I really liked The Hangover but I didn’t think it was the second coming of comedy that a lot of people thought it was but I like the trio of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifinakis and I’m sure there will be crazy cameos, so I’ll probably check it out.  The movie is coming out on Memorial Day this year and you can check out the trailer below.

This week Zach, Chris and Joe tell you their personal top five favorite of movies of 2010, talk about awesome fast food movie tie ins, get confused by the two movies coming out during the plague ridden Dark Ages and talk about what makes a good trilogy.

• Top 5 of 2010: Check the site for our full top ten lists but the guys each give their top five favorite movies of 2010.  The Expendables was the pick of the year for the website but will it top any of the guys’ lists as well?

Disney and Robert Zemeckis team up to adapt the children’s book, Mars Needs Moms.  Starring Seth Green (doing one of his Robot Chicken voices), Dan Fogler and Joan Cusack, a kid stows away on a Martian spaceship because they kidnap his mom.  Apparently the Martians need Earth moms to take care of their unruly kids.  I thought Zemeckis’ style was getting less dead eyed with each movie but this seems like a huge step back as all the characters animate weirdly and have corpse eyes.  See for yourself in the trailer below:

This week the guys tackle the ridiculous amount of new (and returning) TV shows that have debuted over the past week or so. Also in this episode there’s debate about which is worse; Batman & Robin or Spider-Man 3 and the intricacies of Sharktopus.

• Show and Tell: The guys talk about all the TV shows, both old and new, that they’ve checked out including The Event, Community, Boardwalk Empire and the surprisingly awesome Hawaii Five-0.  Joe also gives a quick update on UFC 119, Book of Eli and the 4.5 hour Nightmare on Elm Street documentary while Zach also checked out Sharktopus and Monsters.

In what seems to be a perfect storm of greatness you have the Coen Brothers directing a remake of the western classic True Grit, which stars Josh Brolin and Jeff Bridges.  Bridges takes over the role made famous by John Wayne as US Marshall Rooster Cogburn, who is asked by 14 year old Mattie Ross (newcomer Hailee Steinfeld) to help her find her father’s killer, Tom Chaney (Brolin).  Things get complicated when a Texas ranger, played by Matt Damon, is after Chaney as well and wants to bring him to Texas to stand trial for another murder.  The western genre has been on the back burner for a while but I think this is one like Unforgiven that  is going to bring it back to the forefront.  Check out the amazing trailer below.

Screen Gems has officially released the trailer for next summer’s Priest.  Starring Paul Bettany (who is like the religious action hero du jour) as a priest who sets out to fight vampires.  The movie is such a weird mish mash of genres; It’s the future but there’s vampires and there’s also lots of wild west elements and the priests seem sort of medieval.  I don’t know if it will all work but then again I effing love Doomsday so we’ll see.  Check out the trailer below and the movie comes out next May.

Star Wars has always been a great source for entertaining fan films but this one is easily one of the best.  Topless Robot found this trailer for Blackstar Warrior, a blaxsploitation sci fi/action movie starring the smoothest dude in the galaxy, Lando Calrissian.  Lando is just trying to make his way in the galaxy but gets hassled by the man and takes the fight to the Empire.  It’s a perfect combination of a blaxsploitation trailer and nerdy Star Wars references, definitely check it out below.

I’ve been kind of slacking on Adult Swim lately but that will change this September when The Venture Bros. returns with it’s new/continuation of season four.  When we last left off, we learned that the organization SPHINX had been operating out of one of Dr. Venture’s buildings and led by Col. Hunter Gathers and Brock.  SPHINX’s job is to take out villains who don’t join up with the Guild of Calamitous Intent.  Meanwhile the Monarch had made a bad deal with fellow villain Monstroso that Henchmen 21 took upon himself to fix.  The upcoming season looks like it’s filled with the usual Venture Bros. insanity, including a crazy Spider-Manesque character,  21 taking over the Cocoon and more.  Check out the video below.

We’re big fans of fake trailers here at Everything Action and comedy group Half Day Today brings us a great one for The Oregon Trail.  If you’re the same age as us (mid 20′s) then I’m sure you have fond memories of the educational computer game where you set out from Missouri to Oregon, dodging dangers like snakes, thieves and dysentery, all of which are hilariously referenced in the video.  Check it out below.

Comic Con trailers continue to slowly trickle out and here’s the trailer for the Guillermo del Toro produced “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”, a horror remake starring Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce.  Pearce plays a single father who is restoring an old mansion with his new girlfriend (Holmes) when his daughter accidentally unleashes a swarm of creatures who survive in darkness from the basement.  Young Sally must then try and convince her father that she isn’t making the creatures up before they destroy them all.  It looks pretty creepy but also seems like with just a small adjustment it could be a Sam Raimi movie like Drag Me to Hell.  Check out the trailer below and the movie is out next year.

Ben Affleck, before you start shuddering in understandable horror, has proven himself to be a pretty great director with 2007′s “Gone Baby Gone” and now he’s back in front of and behind the camera for the upcoming crime drama “The Town”.  Just like GBG, The Town is set in Boston and follows a pair of criminals, one of whom falls for one of their hostages after robbing a bank.  He’s determined to leave both Boston and his criminal life behind but his partner and an unrelenting FBI agent could make that difficult.  It looks like it could be really good, definitely has that gritty “The Wire” or “The Shield” thing going on and the cast is pretty great including Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm.  It’s out this September and you can check out the trailer below.

So in case you weren’t aware of it, there’s an extremely well thought out theory about Ferris Bueller’s Day Off that posits that Ferris is actually a creation of Cameron’s mind, much in the way Tyler Durden is a manifestation of Fight Club’s narrator.  Well, Internet comedy group Classy Hands has taken that idea and made a great fake trailer out of it.

We’ve had a number of trailers come out for this fall’s The Social Network, none of them featuring any of the actors except in voiceover.  But now we have the full theatrical trailer so we can see master thespian Justin Timberlake in all his glory.  I’m excited for this movie but this trailer is ridiculously over the top in the drama department with lots of people yelling at each other, throwing things and a choral arrangement of Radiohead’s “Creep”.  I hope this isn’t the tone of the movie because there might be a lot of unintentional humor if it’s this serious and dramatic and it’s about effing Facebook.  Anyway, check out the trailer below.

Judging from the title you might think this is some sort of horrible romantic comedy but Due Date is actually the next movie from Old School/Hangover director Todd Phillips starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifinakis.  RDJ is a father to be who has five days to get to Atlanta for his wife’s delivery but circumstances cause him to have to hitch a ride with Galfinakis’ character and hilarity ensues.  It’s got a very Planes, Trains and Automobiles vibe going on, which is great and RDJ looks like the perfect straight man to Galfinakis.  The movie is coming out in November and you can check out the trailer below.

Getting attached to the Robert Rodriguez produced Predators is the trailer for the Robert Rodriguez directed Machete, starring Danny Trejo as bad ass former federal agent Machete.  Going rogue, Machete goes after the group of men that wronged him played by Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey, Robert De Niro and Don Johnson.  Jessica Alba is an agent investigating Machete and Cheech Marin is Machete’s shotgun wielding priest sidekick.  I really miss the Grindhouse guy voicing over the trailer but it still looks pretty fucking awesome.  It’s out this September and you can check out the trailer below.

This week finds the foursome of Zach, Brian, Chris and Joe chatting about everything from the return of Brock Lesnar to the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future to the storied history of the Predator franchise.

• Show and Tell: Brian is burning through Burn Notice, Chris celebrated the Fourth of July with Independence Day and The Patriot, Joe gives us the nitty gritty of UFC 116 and Zach checked out Running Scared and also dug into Hulu to watch some Afro Samurai and Jack of All Trades.
• News: Steve Carell leaving The Office, the new Spider-Man has been cast, the trailer for Let Me In, the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future and the New Release Round Up.
• Franchise Flashback- Predator: The guys take a look back at the four previous movies in the Predator franchise to get ready for this weekend’s Predators.
