Appearing on the Thor DVD that will be out in a couple weeks is the first of what Marvel says will be a bunch of short films on their upcoming DVDs and possibly in front of future Marvel films in theaters.  This first one, entitled “The Consultant”, features SHIELD Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) as he schemes to figure out a way to keep the Abomination in the custody of General Ross, even though some government higher ups want him pardoned and placed on The Avengers.  It’s pretty quick, but it’s a cool extra to Incredible Hulk and the other Marvel films.  You can check out the short below.

Setting the internet ablaze this week was the following video featuring a couple of the action sequences from the Indian film Endhiran.  From what I gather about the plot, it’s about a guy who invents or is the inspiration for a line of robots that go insane and must be stopped.  The first action sequence in the video, in which an evil robot causes havoc on a freeway, would have been a shoe in for most insane action sequence if not for the second sequence, which is the climax of the movie, in which hundreds of evil robots fuse themselves together into tons of different shapes like a ball full of guns, a giant snake and more.  No human is able to fully describe the glorious insanity of these scenes, so just watch the video below and make sure you remember to pick your jaw up off the floor when you’re done.

Warner Bros. has been working on a bunch of CG Looney Tunes cartoons to debut before some of their movies and the first, “Coyote Falls”, has been released online after getting released this summer.  In classic Road Runner fashion, Wile. E Coyote has come up with another foolproof plan to catch the Road Runner by bungee jumping but, of course, things go horribly wrong.  I really like the look and it’s got all the classic humor you expect from Looney Tunes.  Check it out below.

Finally, the brilliance of Chris Klein’s performance in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li has been condensed into a single amazing video.  Everything the master thespian says is here for your perusal/study and I’ll think you’ll agree with me that, after watching this, Klein was robbed during whatever award season corresponded to when Street Fighter came out.

As we’ve mentioned before, Star Wars has been one of the best breeding grounds for fan films and one making the rounds this week on the internet is the fantastic animated short “The Solo Adventures”.  Taking place shortly before A New Hope, the short fills in the details of what happened to the cargo that Han Solo lost which resulted in Jabba the Hutt putting a bounty on his head.  There’s fantastic voice work in the short as well from John Armstrong, who actually played Indiana Jones in the recent Wii game.  Check it out below and there’s also a 3D version on Vimeo.

What happens when someone watches the volleyball scene from Top Gun and thinks, “We should base a whole movie on this!”  You get the 1986 relic Spiker, recently unearthed by Everything is Terrible.  When a hot shot beach volleyball player is recruited for some sort of all star team, he learns that his cool moves and attitude won’t get him anywhere in the serious world of real volleyball.  Check out the highlights below.

Seeing the success Arnold had with his Conan and Total Recall musical versions, Stallone steps onto the stage with the musical version of Rambo: First Blood Part II.  Singing the touching duet “You’re Not Expendable”, Rambo contemplates what his life is worth and what it has amounted to.  Check it out below and reserve your tickets now.

A group of video editing fans called The Monocular Group has brought an important issue to the Internet’s attention.  On August 13th the horrible looking chick lit flick “Eat, Pray, Love” is out and on that same day is our most anticipated movie of the year, The Expendables.  The Monocular Group is putting out a call to arms to all men to go and see this movie so that we can reclaim the box office from all the sparkly emo vampires and Nicholas Spark adaptations.  Check out the video below and know we’ll be fighting the good fight that weekend.

Leave it to Everything is Terrible to find the bizarre Christian knock off of Friday Night Lights (or maybe Varsity Blues) called Hometown Legend.  In a small town in Georgia, the local football team is trying to recover from a horrible accident that happened to one of their players and reclaim their former glory.  The team has two things on their side, God and Terry O’Quinn in batshit insane mode, channeling equal parts Bobby Knight and Gene Hackman in The Replacements.  Spouting all kinds of nonsensical advice and sayings, like my favorite, “If my momma had a three piece set she’d be my daddy!”, the team heads for the state championship.  Watch the hilarity below.

Pajiba.com has compiled 100 of the greatest movie insults of all time in one convenient video.   All the classic are here like “scruffy looking nerf herder”, “you’re a sad, strange little man” and one of my favorites from the man above, “Take this quarter, go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face.”  Check out all 100 below but be careful about trying them in real life.

From the guys who made the awesome Total Recall: The Musical video comes the musical version of Conan the Barbarian.  Arnold sings the rousing ballad “Crom” and laments the death of his parents and ponders his quest for revenge, while praying to the great Crom.  I think both these videos prove we need a Arnold based movie ASAP.

The first trailer debuted yesterday for the upcoming adaptation of the classic radio and TV hero, The Green Hornet.  Seth Rogen stars as the titular character and Jay Chou is his sidekick Kato and Christoph Waltz as the main villain.  After going through a number of directors, the movie was finally put in the hands of Michel Gondry, director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep and Be Kind, Rewind.  This is his first foray into action and it’s looking pretty good, not his usual craziness but it’s got some style to it.  Sony pushed this back from December to January, they say to convert it to 3D and avoid competition with other 3D movies coming out in December, most notably Tron Legacy.  Hopefully they’re not just dumping it because it seems fun, check out the trailer below.

So we’re not a video game site but this was too awesome to not post.  One of the most anticipated games is the upcoming Bioware MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and, just like last year, they have an amazing cinematic trailer that they showed at E3.  Depicting the Battle of Alderaan, the evil Sith lord Darth Malgus tricks the Republic into leaving the planet virtually defenseless, letting him easily overrun it’s defenses.  However, a small group of Republic Troopers flee into the woods and start a guerilla campaign against the Sith.  Dear George Lucas, make a full length movie like this and we might forgive you for the prequels.

I don’t where Everything is Terrible found this, what movie it is or even 100% that it’s Christopher Walken, but I do  know that it’s ridiculously awesome.

If there was one thing that really set 80′s movie apart from other movie decades it’s the quality of high school bullies that were produced, led, of course, by Billy Zabka.  The Huffington Post has created this fantastic montage of pretty much every 80′s bully doing what they do best which include: hassling the new kid, teasing nerds, giving noogies and creating innovative insults.

For all you aspiring stuntmen and women out there, Everything is Terrible has dug up a fantastic instructional video that will give you all the basics you need to know.  Things like how to get thrown across a folding table, making punching sound effects with your mouth, realistically choking someone and more.  Plus the video has fascinating interviews with actual stunt people.  Check it out below and you’ll be ready to be blown up in no time.

So I think we can all agree that Total Recall is a definite action classic and awesome but a video making the rounds today on the internet makes the argument that it might be even more awesome as a musical.  For instance, here’s the musical version’s sweeping ballad “The Mountains of Mars” where Douglas Quaid contemplates how his life on Earth has become too commonplace and he would be able to truly find himself on the red planet.  Brilliant stuff.

From the guys who brought you Mirror Scare and No Signal, comes another movie cliche: “Get out of there!”  There always comes a time when your fighter squadron, undercover agent or whatnot is about to be destroyed, attacked or revealed and the best way that you can help is to scream at them to “Get out of there!”.  You can use it to yell at multiple people or to emphasize you can change it to something like “Get your asses out of there!”.  It really is a versatile phrase and you can see tons of it’s uses in the video below.

Everything is Terrible truly does God’s work, and literally this time as they’ve found a wonderfully horrible 80′s movie from the Philippines called “The Killing of Satan”.  From what I can gather, it’s about a guy with magic powers battling Satan.  There are some amazing special effects and stunt work going on here, like the guy who dives in front of a rolling boulder and then is somehow alive even though his entire body is pulp.  You just have to experience the magic for yourself, which you can do below.

Star Wars has been a breeding ground over the years for fan films but easily the most ambitious is Star Wars Uncut.  A complete remake of A New Hope, the project had hundreds of fans each take a 15 second chunk of the movie and recreate it however they wanted.  The movie is complete and will be shown at a festival in Copenhagen later this year but it’s unknown whether it will ever be seen by the general public.  We’ll have to be satisfied by the following video which depicts the remade Escape from the Death Star scene.
