La La Land didn’t dominate quite as thoroughly as predicted going into the Oscars but it still took home 6 awards but Moonlight won Best Picture after perhaps the greatest mistake in the show’s history wrongfully had Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway declaring La La Land the winner first thanks to the wrong card in the envelope.

The Jungle Book continued to dominate at the box office as The Huntsman: Winter’s War failed compared to it’s predecessor with a 1/3 of what Snow White made it’s opening weekend.

Melissa McCarthy defeated DC’s Trinity this weekend at the box office as The Boss took the top spot away from Batman v Superman.
Batman v Superman stayed on top for it’s second weekend out but suffered one of the worst drop offs in history.
