The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Normally you wouldn’t think that news of a new theme park attraction would find it’s way to movie blogs like us.  However, when the new attraction is an entire Harry Potter themed area, everyone takes notice.  Opening later this spring, Universal Studios has added the first major change to Islands of Adventure since it opened in 1999 with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  The new area will feature attractions like “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey”, which takes visitors through Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, where you can buy wands, visit candy shops and more, and they’re also reworking two of their coasters; The Flight of the Unicorn will be the Flight of the Hippogriff and the Dueling Dragons will become the Dragon Challenge and will feature Harry Potter species instead of Fire and Ice and Tri Wizard Tournament theming.  You can check out concept art and a few videos over at /Film and you can see the Super Bowl ad for the attraction below.
