Debuting in front of Priest this weekend is the trailer for this Summer’s remake of the 80’s vampire flick Fright Night. Actually, it’s more of the condensed 3 minute of the whole movie, as pretty much all the major plot points are revealed in the trailer. The movie follows a teen, Charley (Anton Yelchin), who has a new neighbor, Jerry (Colin Farell), move in and people in town start disappearing. His friend (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) believes the neighbor is a vampire and Charley eventually agrees and enlists his favorite TV magician (David Tennant) to take Jerry down before he kills/turns his girlfriend. On top of showing pretty much the whole movie, this remake also seems way too serious and trying to hard to be “dark”. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it but I’m pretty sure the original was more of a horror comedy. The remake is out this August and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
