After making a run for the Oscars last year with “The Fighter”, Mark Wahlberg is back with another in a long line of decent looking action movies with “Contraband”. Wahlberg plays Chris Farraday, a security guard who used to be a smuggler but is retired and living a quiet life with his wife and children. His wife’s brother however, followed in his smuggling footsteps and after blowing a job, is in deep trouble with a criminal and Chris must return to smuggling to bail him out. It’s basically “Gone in Sixty Seconds” but instead of stealing cars, the gang is trying to steal a bunch of uncirculated money. The movie co-stars Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster, Giovanni Ribisi, JK Simmons and Caleb Jones and is out this January. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
