There’s been a surge in the last year or two in confined space thrillers, like Buried, 127 Hours and ATM and now, coming later this year, 247 Degrees. Starring Scout Taylor-Compton and Tyler Mane, 247 finds a quartet of friends head to the lakeside cabin of one of their uncles and get ready for a weekend of partying. Looking to relax in the cabin’s sauna, the group soon finds themselves locked inside with the temperature slowly climbing toward the titular 247, which is when the human body dies. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a confined space thriller where heat was the enemy; I’m pretty sure there’s at least one or two cold based ones, so the heat element could be an interesting twist and I’m a sucker for these anyway so I’ll probably see it at some point. Check out the trailer below and the movie is out on October 23rd.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
