The Texas Chainsaw franchise has had numerous sequels, both in the original series and the rebooted series but this latest entry basically casts aside all of those and picks up directly from the 1974 classic. It’s decades later and after the horrible crimes of Leatherface and the Sawyer family are uncovered, they are seemingly murdered by an angry vigilante mob and their house is burned to the ground. Decades later, a young woman gets an inheritance of a Victorian mansion in Texas and she some friends head down to check out. Surprise, surprise, Leatherface, seemingly hiding out in the basement, is freed and starts to wreak his usual havoc. It looks more in the vein of the new Texas Chainsaw series but there could be a couple cool scenes, there’s a brief glimpse of Leatherface attacking a carnival that could be awesome. The movie is kicking off 2013 by coming out on January 4th and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
